About Me

Dr. Mohammad Fayez Al Bataineh received his B.S. degree in Communications Engineering with high honors from the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, Yarmouk University, Jordan, in 2003. Between 2003 and 2004, he worked as a teaching assistant at Yarmouk university where he was awarded a scholarship to pursue his graduate studies in the US. He received his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering with excellent distinction from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in 2006. Between 2006 and 2010, Mohammad was a Ph.D. candidate and research assistant at Illinois Institute of Technology where he received his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering with excellent distinction in May 2010. His research inaterests are focused in the application of communications, coding theory, and information theory concepts to the interpretation and understanding of information flow in biological systems such as gene expression. During his PhD studies he worked as aresearch assistant at Argonne National Laboratories, Chicago, IL, and later as a research and development engineer at MicroSun Technologies, Lisle, IL. Now Mohammad Al Bataineh is an assistant professor in the Telecommunications Engineering Department at Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, Yarmouk University, Jordan.
